Why study at the UAO CEU?

1. International marketing

The function of the global business marking is strongly influenced by corporate competition, inernationalisation, innovation, technological change and the new ways of work organisation.

This programme has been designed to manage the international marketing areas, offering an updated point of view of the sales systems and success experiences that help creating new solutions to new challenges in an economy open to the world.

2. Double title

The Universitat Abat Oliba CEU is pioneer in the methodology that allows to combine two titles and obtain in 4 years two university degrees.

This double degree trains students with a clear orientation towards product and service commercialisation, and with a deep knowledge of international business management. In addition to the required theoretical training, the subjects have a clear practical orientation.

Our graduate acquire a complete vision of marketing and business that prepares them perfectly for a highly-professionalised laboral world. They obtain the key competences and knowledge required to work in high chaird of responsability and to take on successfully any project in relation to marketing and the commercial management.

The permanent contact with the laboral world and an excellent faculty ease the incorporation of our graduates to a highly-competitive labor market.

3. E/xperience·day

Throughout the whole academic year, students will be able to attend to chats, lectures and round tables with professionals in the business world in order to exchange knowledge and experience.

With the’e/xperience·day we aim to achieve these objectives: providing students with a positive learning experience and offering them the opportunity to interact with a sociocultural environment, preparing them for future professional responsibilities.

4. Internationalisation

One of the main characteristics of the studies in Global Business is the internationalisation, which allows our students to be prepared not only for national companies, but international as well.

For this reason, we offer the possibility to carry out stages from 6 to 12 months, or international internships, in the best universities of Europe, America, and Australia. We also offer international programmes in the United States: “International Political Economy” with the University of Chicago, and the “International Business Certificate Program” with the University of Boston. Our students receive an international training in English linked to their official degree studies and are allowed to carry out an additional international mobility stay.

5. Aula Emprende Programme

The UAO CEU bets for the development of the entrepreneur spirit in all the studies of the Business area, by means of several initiatives, such as:

  • Workshop  entrepreneur woman
  • Family business and entrepreneurship meetings
  • Experiential entrepreneurship conferences
  • CEU Emprende Summer Camp

In addition, the Entrepreneurs Club, created by students, promotes other activities, such as the BCN Thinking Challenge, an entrepreneurship marathon with the participation of students from different universities and fields of knowledge, and professionals from different areas, who must solve an "entrepreneurship case" with a social goal.

6. Competences program CEU ePlus

The CEU ePlus competence program is incorporated in every degree since the very first year, in order to work on the specific most demanded competences in the labour market for every degree. In addition, the students always have at their disposal the possibility to make an individual coaching procedure.

7. Methodology

Teaching model based on the practical and individualised training that allows to link the  theoretical knowledge to professional practice, by means of real internships, workshops and practical seminars.

INTERNSHIPS

In the final year of the degree course, students undertake a mandatory work placement in companies, offices or institutions in their preferred area of practice.
These practical training programmes are included in the study plans, and enable the student to apply and complement the knowledge they have acquired during their academic training, ensuring that they acquire professional competences that will assist them when they enter employment in the future. The group of activities that the student will develop in this programme will be jointly agreed between the company’s tutor and the Work Placement and Employment Service coordinator, who is in charge of the practicum.

The student will also have an academic tutor who will monitor and evaluate the internships to ensure that the students get the maximum use of their time at the organisation.

You will be able to do the place reservation at the Abat Oliba CEU University, which guarantees a place in the degree while awaiting approval of the Selectivitat or other access requirements, carrying out the payment of €1,500 which will be discounted from the total price of the course.

Once you have made a reservation, the payment of the rest of the registration fee can be carried out in one of the following methods:

Of the enrolment fee in four instalments per year.

monthly payment

10 instalments with special financing at 0% interest with Banc Sabadell (Check opening charges).

Quality and regulations

ADMISSION PROFILE

Students must be interested in the issues related to marketing, economics, business management and leadership. They must be able to understand the social function of the company, and analyse and identify issues and propose solutions. They must be able to analyse and summarise information and work as part of a group, as well as to understand and abstract information. They must be expressive, sociable, open-minded and have a view on how the world may develop in the future.

It is also required the knowledge of at least one other language (preferably English), and have a flair for quantitative methods.

OBJECTIVES

  • Speaking using refined economic and business language - in other words, have sound knowledge of the concepts and fundamental management tools that can be applied to the functional areas of marketing and sales within the company.
  • Having a comprehensive view of the organisation and business environments in which companies operate.
  • Being able to understand how a company works and how the changes that occur in a company affect business decision-making.
  • Developing the abilities and skills required to apply knowledge that has been acquired, and be able to carry out professional activities in different environments such as Marketing and Commercial Management in companies and organisations.
  • Being able to evaluate, criticise, discuss, develop and present business proposals after understanding the social, economic, international context, etc., that they are presented in.
  • Applying the training they have received to their personal lives, and the professions they have trained for, in line with the sustainability and social responsibility values for any company or organisation.
  • Becoming an impartial and efficient business professional that assumes the role of his profession responsibly and diligently, and be aware of the commitment that comes with managing business organisations, which is essential for the common good and for personal well-being.
  • Developing initiative and leadership skills, as well as an interest in Marketing and Commercial Management.
  • Acquiring the linguistic capabilities that are required for sound Marketing and Commercial Management within a company or an organisation.
