Introduction and objectives

1. Introduction

This course is oriented towards the professional environment in the emerging sector of food and wine communication. It is aimed at graduates in the areas of business, communication, gastronomy and other social sciences who are interested in working as expert communicators and in the creation and strategic planning of brands, product promotion and the positioning of establishments and services in the world of gastronomy, oenology and restoration.

Faculty

Anna Riera has a degree in journalism, advertising and public relations from Ramon Llull University, Barcelona. She is the former marketing director of the specialised agency Grup GSR, which covers Tast a les Rambles and San Sebastián Gastronomika). She has been the coordinator of the "Gourmets" supplement in El Periódico de Catalunya since 2004. She has worked positioning brands through communication campaigns, PR and online marketing in Spain, Argentina and Switzerland for clients such as Codorniu Group, Nestlé Group, Coca-Cola, Illy, Cervezas Damm, Quesos of Switzerland, Silestone and Nespresso.
