Why study at the UAO CEU?

1. New opportunities

The reactivation of the real estate sector, after the crisis of 2007-2013, is gradually following the expansive evolution of the new economic cycle. Also, the improvement of the financial conditions and the economic growth in Spain are favouring the recuperation of the real estate activity in all the Spanish territory.

This renewed dynamic offers new training opportunities regarding the real estate administration and managing. This training covers several aspects, such as project management and real estate promotion and investment, consultancy in real estate intermediation, property administration, and property valuation and taxation, among others.

2. Professional development

The main objective of this degree is to train qualified professionals for job positions of responsibility in real estate companies: real estate promotion, construction, intermediation, administration and management, and to train them to develop management tasks and company management abilities.

3. Monographic modules

Configuration of a specific series of monographic modules that respond to the training demands of the sector. These modules can be duly combined in order to achieve the certification of a master's degree, a postgraduate degree, or a specialisation course.

The average work placement rate is 95% in the postgraduate studies of the CEU.

7. Information resources

The Library Service is conceived as a support unit for study and research. Its most important objective is to meet the educative and scientific demands. It has convenient opening hours, including weekends, with the best computer equipment. In addition, the UAO CEU offers to all the University community a vast digital storage, with free access to its publications from its docent, research or institutional activities carried out by teachers, students or former students from the University.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

This course is part of a module programme in which students are able to choose their training itinerary, completing the totality or only a part of the programme.

The completion of the totality of the modules of the programme will allow students to obtain the title of "master in Property Management from the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU", and to develop their profession in the fields of real estate consultancy, management, and promotion.

Diplomas and certificates

Depending on the combination of chosen modules, the students will be awarded the corresponding degree(s).

Postgraduate degrees
The completion of the modules of the programme (1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11) will allow students to obtain the "postgraduate degree in Property Management" (45 ECTS)

The completion of the modules of the programme (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) will allow students to obtain the "postgraduate degree in Property Valuation" (33 ECTS)

Certificate

The completion of a minimum of 16 credits of the programme will allow students to obtain the "certificate of Specialisation in the Real Estate Sector".

The preservation of the Human Right to Housing is their main area of work. They also look out for the conservation and administration of real estate goods and assets. They defend the professional interests of their collegiate partners by avoiding mala praxis and unfair competition.
     
  • Asociación de Promotores y Constructoras de Edificios de Barcelona. The APCE is the most representative institution of the sector of real estate building promotion, and is an essential referent for Catalan businessmen. It currently has more than 300 associated real estate groups that represent more than 600 companies.

MORE INFORMATION

This master's degree meets the criteria to be reimbursed by the Fundación Tripartita (State Foundation for the formation in occupation). For more information on the discount procedure for companies, please ask the Student Service when fulfilling the enrolment process.

The Agency of Management of Research and University Grants (AGAUR) of the Generalitat de Catalunya also offers preferential loans for enrolment fees. The application can be carried out on the internet, on the website of AGAUR. Students of the master's degree may process their scholarship and/or grant application once they have paid the enrolment fee within the established deadline on the admission calendar. Quality and regulations

ADMISSION PROFILE

Students wishing to apply for the master in Property Management must have a Spanish degree or advanced course (general degree, degree or honours degree) or a foreign degree (equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree  in the Anglo-Saxon system).

This profile includes:

  • Architects and superior or technical engineers.
  • Property administrators and their employees.
  • Real estate agents and their employees.
  • Property developers and constructors and their employees.

Aimed at every professional interested in acquiring specific knowledge on the real estate sector.

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of this degree is to train qualified professionals for job positions of responsibility in real estate companies: real estate promotion, construction, intermediation, administration and management, and to train them to develop management tasks and company management abilities.

In particular, students of this programme will be able to learn the criteria to choose the most profitable property investments in every economic scenario; to know the tools that allow an adequate property administration; to analyse the viability of a property promotion; to understand the main funding sources and the adequate degree of financial leverage that every real estate project needs; to analyse the fiscal planning of the different asset trade operations; to study the new trends in communication and commercialisation; to analyse new products, new markets and new investment opportunities.
