🎓 Robert P. George has been awarded an honorary doctorate

The Universitat has awarded an honorary doctorate to the Princeton University professor Robert P. George. This way, George, who holds the McCormick Chair in Jurisprudence at Princeton University and is the manager of the James Madison Program in American Ideas and Institutions, is now a member of the faculty of our university

Robert P. George has been awarded an honorary doctorate

The Universitat has awarded an honorary doctorate to the Princeton University professor Robert P. George. This way, George, who holds the McCormick Chair in Jurisprudence at Princeton University and is the manager of the James Madison Program in American Ideas and Institutions, is now a member of the faculty of our university.

The laudatio for Professor George has been read by the director of the Department of Law and Political Sciences, Pablo Nuevo, whereas the investiture speech of the doctor honoris causa was about “Morality, rationality, and natural law”.

With our Rector, Carlos Pérez del Valle, this act has been presided by the Great Chancellor of the UAO CEU and president of the University Foundation San Pablo CEU, Carlos Romero. Some of the attendees of this act were the rectors of the other two CEU universities, Rosa Visiedo (CEU Cardenal Herrera), and Antonio Calvo (CEU San Pablo), as well as the general manager of the CEU, José Luis Guillén. Also, other attendees of this ceremony were the Honorary Rector of the UAO CEU, Juan Corona, and the Rector of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Xavier Gil. The resolution in which was awarded the honorary doctorate has been read by the General Secretary of the UAO CEU, Ana Beriain.
