Why study at the UAO CEU?

1. Added Value

Own qualification taught together with the Degree in Psychology. This Program in People Management and Leadership develops personal managing skills for team management, so that graduates can face the challenge of business success through people management mastery.

2. Human approach

Students will acquire the necessary skills to get started in this profession with confidence and ease. They can count on the support from experienced teachers who possess wide knowledge on psyche and human behaviour, a large experience in several fields of practical psychology and, above all, a strong will to pass on the values that comprise a good psychologist through their advice and example.

3. Tradition

We have more than 15 years of experience in training professionals in Psychology.

4. Methodology

Teaching method based on practical and customised training, which allows for linking theoretical knowledge to professional praxis through internships in companies, schools, hospitals and day care centres, as well as workshops and practical seminars.

It promotes an active and entrepreneurial attitude in students, as can be seen the creation of the Psykhé Group. It implies reinforcement to early research activity and a valuable experience in public speaking. This group also organises the Annual Psychology Students Conference.

5. Therapeutic Unit for Psychological Assistance

The Therapeutic Unit for Psychological Assistance is an accredited medical centre located in Sagrat Cor de Barcelona University Hospital with an assistance and research approach. The service they offer is based on scientific evidence, stemming from a human and comprehensive vision of individuals. It also offers diagnosis and treatment in several disorders and difficulties.

The start-up of this Unit implies a qualitative leap in the field of Psychology of our university. What it has been created is a space where teaching, research and welfare activity meet, a space that represents a clear example of shifting from university to society.

6. Applied knowledge

By creating the role of Intern Research Student, we allow students to carry out support tasks to research, be it in university teams or in healthcare centres, as it already happens in different Catalan hospitals. We publish two calls for this position each year to all degree and double degree students.

7. Specialisation fields

Teaching is specialised in the more demanded professional fields in Psychology:

  • Mention in Clinical and Health Psychology

  • Mention in Development and Educational Psychology

  • Double degree in Psychology + Criminology and Security

  • Specialisation programme in People and Organisations Management
    8. Innovation

We are the only Catalan university to offer the double degree in Psychology + Criminology and Security, as well as the new programme in People and Organisations Management.

    9. Competences Programme CEU ePlus

The Competences Programme CEU ePlus is specifically added in the first year of every degree in order to train the more demanded competences by the job market. Moreover, students will always be able to undertake customised coaching.

    10. Complete syllabus

We offer the master’s degree in General Health Psychology and the PhD in Health Science and Technology for further specialisation and the possibility to work as a freelance or as a salaried employee in the medical field.
