LEAGUE TABLES

Abat Oliba CEU University leads the league table of private universities in Catalonia.

The study analyses 32 variables to establish the level of teaching and research.

Abat Oliba CEU University (UAO CEU) is the highest-ranking private Catalan university in Spain, as accredited by the Institute of Industrial and Financial Analysis (IAIF) of the Complutense University of Madrid. As for private universities, Abat Oliba CEU University scored 55.83 points, making us third best, behind only the University of Navarre (100 points), which came first in the research and teaching ranking, and Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid (59.29 points).

The study “University Quality in Spain” analyses variables grouped by factors such as human resources, the provision of IT resources (spending per enrolled student and IT support per thousand students), academic performance, the university’s bibliographical availability and the results of the doctoral programme, among others.

The data, provided by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), shows that public universities lead the way in research but private universities top the tables for teaching.

This study shows the CEU group’s commitment to talent and academic excellence. For more than 75 years it has worked to provide a university education to young people, and that is why it is the Spanish private educational institution that invests the most money in scholarships and grants. This investment aims to drive young talent through the Talent Bank, a fund aimed at granting scholarships and financial support to students with the best academic skills, and ensuring no talented, motivated student stops studying their degree for financial reasons.

At Abat Oliba CEU University we offer all our students the possibility of applying for scholarships and financial support depending on their personal and financial circumstances and academic merits through our Scholarships Programme, funded both by our own resources and by contributions from collaborating institutions. We also have agreements with financial institutions to provide loans and lines of credit so that students can finance their studies at the University with favourable conditions.

A whole set of measures to foster talent and excellence.
