1. Employability

2. Methodology

The Programme of International and European Law Practice is designed as a Private Diploma imparted together with the Degree in Law. This programme is aimed towards students with a high level of excellence, who want to achieve the knowledge, experience and abilities required for the practice of Law in an international or Community environment.
Students of the International and European Law Practice study subjects of the Degree in Law, adding every semester one or two subjects of international and Community litigation, plus one of a foreign language (English, French or German). Additionally, they must carry out a summer practicum in lawyer offices or international offices.
Teaching model based on the practical and personalised training by means of the case method, with case resolution in professional offices and the attendance to real trials in the provincial Courts. In addition to other activities, such as:

  • Practical seminars of Commercial Law
  • Rhetorical workshops of juridical argumentation
  • Simulations of legal proceedings and negotiation processes
  • Debate society
  • The Jurist Club
3. Institute of European Studies of the Universidad San Pablo CEU

The programme is imparted with the collaboration of the Institute of European Studies of the Universidad San Pablo CEU, Research Centre specialised in the European integration and other aspects of international relations. The Institute of European Studies was founded in November of 1999 and has been designated by the European Commission as Centre of Excellence Jean Monnet.

4. Competences program CEU ePlus

The CEU ePlus competence program is incorporated in every degree since the very first year, in order to work on the specific most demanded competences in the labour market for every degree. In addition, the students always have at their disposal the possibility to make an individual coaching procedure.

5. Internationalisation

In addition, we offer our students of the juridical field the chance to take a Master course in U.S. Law in Saint Thomas University of Minnesota.

6. Complete programme

With the master's degree in Law. The student is provided with the additional training required by law thanks to this master's degree.

Students who obtain the official title "graduate in Law from the Abat Oliba CEU University" can pursue careers in the following areas:

  • Besides typical career opportunities of the Degree in Law, students who join the Programme International and European Law Practice will be especially prepared for the exercise of Law in an international or European environment, having at their disposal of the experience, competences and abilities required to work in European Union institutions.

  • State administration bodies (State Attorney, Civil Administration, Judiciary, Legal Advisers to the Courts and State Council, Military Legal Service, Notaries, Land Registry, etc.)

  • Administration bodies for autonomous communities and local entities
  • Administrative management of companies (employment, financial management, commercial, etc.)
  • Diplomatic career and international civil service
  • Social and political advisory for political parties and political and social associations
  • Non-governmental organisations (NGOs)


In the final year of the degree course, students undertake a mandatory work placement in companies, offices or institutions in their preferred area of practice.
These practical training programmes are included in the study plans, and enable the student to apply and complement the knowledge they have acquired during their academic training, ensuring that they acquire professional competences that will assist them when they enter employment in the future. The group of activities that the student will develop in this programme will be jointly agreed between the company’s tutor and the Work Placement and Employment Service coordinator, who is in charge of the practicum.

The student will also have an academic tutor who will monitor and evaluate the internships to ensure that the students get the maximum use of their time at the organisation.

Prices and scholarships




You will be able to do the place reservation at the Abat Oliba CEU University, which guarantees a place in the degree while awaiting approval of the Selectivitat or other access requirements, carrying out the payment of €1,500 which will be discounted from the total price of the course.


Once you have made a reservation, the payment of the rest of the registration fee can be carried out in one of the following methods:

single payment

This method involves a 3% discount on the enrolment fees.

instalment payment

Of the enrolment fee in four instalments per year.

monthly payment

10 instalments with special financing at 0% interest with Banc Sabadell (Check opening charges).

other payment methods

With Banco Santander, "la Caixa", Catalunya Caixa, BBVA and Banc Sabadell. This method also involves a 3% discount on the enrolment fees.

Quality and regulations


The students must be interested in organisational systems within society, configuration and planning within political communities, and the principles and norms that underpin personal and social relationships. They must show an interest in learning about the historical, philosophical and arbitrary foundations of legal systems and must be concerned with complying with and applying those ideals of Justice, which encourage the aforementioned. They must be able to understand and analyse social phenomena, identify issues and propose solutions. They must be able to analyse and summarise information and work as part of a group, as well as to understand and abstract information. They must be expressive, sociable, open-minded and have a view on how the world may develop in the future.

The student must also be proficient in a foreign language (preferably English).


  • Speaking using refined legal language - in other words, have sound knowledge of the formal and analytical language of Law.
  • Having a view of the Spanish legal system as a whole, including material, formal and knowledge sources in the environment in question.
  • Developing the abilities and skills required to apply Spanish law, and be able to assume roles in public or private institutions - including prosecution, advisory, defence, accusation, mediation or similar - which are related to the degree in Law.
  • Being able to evaluate, criticise, discuss, develop and present business proposals after understanding the social, economic, international context, etc., that they are presented in.
  • Becoming an impartial jurist that assumes the role of his profession responsibly and diligently, and be aware of the commitment that comes with this task -the pursuit and application of justice-, which is essential for the common good and for personal well-being.
