Additional Data Protection Information (University Enrolment)

In accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council, of 27 April 2016, relating to the protection of individuals when it comes to processing their personal data and the free circulation of such data and which repealed Directive 95/46/CE, we would advise you that all your data obtained during the enrolment process will be processed at the liability of FUNDACIÓ PRIVADA UNIVERSITAT ABAT CEU (hereinafter, FPUAO CEU), for the purposes of handling it, managing your academic file, carrying out the relevant assessments and preparing statistics and quality studies, along with any other supplementary activity or activity which may be necessary to fulfil the educational function commended to the university via the enrolment. Our official student card will be issued using these data. We would advise you that there is no plan to draw up profiles.  

FPUAO CEU advises that the processing specified is legitimate due to the existence of a legitimate interest by the Foundation in the correct execution of the legal relationship arising from the enrolment of a student at the centre, and in the consent of the parties concerned, or, as appropriate, their legal representatives.  

Furthermore, FPUAO CEU advises you that the personal data contained in this application for enrolment will be stored while your legal relationship to the university lasts, and for the period of time established by the applicable legislation in each case, except for those relating to the academic file, which will be stored for an indefinite period of time, in compliance with current education legislation. 

By signing the application you expressly consent to the communication of your personal data by FPUAO-CEU to Foundations, Institutions and Centres, which come under or are associated with FPUAO CEU (*) for the purposes of management and also in order to keep you informed about activities and projects being carried out. We would advise you that there is no plan to transfer data internationally. 

Once your education at the Foundation has finished, you will become a CEU ex-student and we would like to keep you informed about any activities, events, training offers, collaborations and beneficial terms which may be of interest to you, for which reason we request your consent to receiving such information.  

Furthermore you are advised that you can contact the FPUAO CEU Data Protection Manager by addressing your request in writing to the postal address C/ Tutor No 35 - 28008 Madrid or to the e-mail address [email protected]. 

In accordance with the rights granted to you under current data protection legislation you may address the relevant Supervisory Authority to submit any claim you consider to be appropriate, and also exercise your rights of access, rectification, limitation on processing, suppression, portability and objection to the processing of your personal data. You may also request withdrawal of the consent given for them to be processed by addressing your request to FPUAO CEU, address C/ Bellesguard 30- 08022 Barcelona, or e-mail [email protected]
