Why study at the UAO CEU?

1. Updated point of view of marketing and sales systems

In the current globalised, competitive and ever changing climate, capturing the attention of a potential client is proving a challenge for companies and organisations alike. They must be increasingly dynamic and more focused on the market, which implies being focused on the client, and integrating and coordinating functions in the company and being profit focused. In this context, marketing has extended to all areas of business, from raw materials markets to the most sophisticated technology markets, from mass consumption markets to business-to-business, services, education, health, etc.
The job market for marketing and retail management is strongly influenced by business competitiveness, internationalisation, innovation, technological change and new work organisation methods. Various studies show that studying for a degree in these disciplines provides excellent job prospects, with the ability to apply for top qualified positions, in an ever more demanding market.
The Abat Oliba CEU University is aware of these requirements, and thanks to its extensive experience in university training, more specifically in the area of business management and leadership, it has designed a special programme exclusively for managing and leading areas of Marketing and Commercial Management.

2. Aula Emprende Programme

The UAO CEU bets for the development of the entrepreneur spirit in all the studies of the Business area, by means of several initiatives, such as:

  • Workshop  entrepreneur woman
  • Family business and entrepreneurship meetings
  • Experiential entrepreneurship conferences
  • CEU Emprende Summer Camp

In addition, the Entrepreneurs Club, created by students, promotes other activities, such as the BCN Thinking Challenge, an entrepreneurship marathon with the participation of students from different universities and fields of knowledge, and professionals from different areas, who must solve an "entrepreneurship case" with a social goal.

3. E/xperience·day

Throughout the whole academic year, students will be able to attend to chats, lectures and round tables with professionals in the business world in order to exchange knowledge and experience.

With the’e/xperience·day we aim to achieve these objectives: providing students with a positive learning experience and offering them the opportunity to interact with a sociocultural environment, preparing them for future professional responsibilities.

4. Collaboration agreement

The Universitat Abat Oliba CEU and the Club Marketing Barcelona have a collaboration agreement to promote projects in the Marketing field. In addition, the UAO CEU is member of the Academic Board of the CMB.

5. Competences program CEU ePlus

The CEU ePlus competence program is incorporated in every degree since the very first year, in order to work on the specific most demanded competences in the labour market for every degree. In addition, the students always have at their disposal the possibility to make an individual coaching procedure.

6. Methodology

Teaching model based on the practical and individualised training that allows to link the  theoretical knowledge to professional practice, by means of real internships, workshops and practical seminars.

7. Internationalisation

The students receive an international training in English, linked to their official degree studies, and may carry out an additional international mobility stay.
