In recent years, neurosciences have experienced unrelenting growth, with implications for various disciplines. At the Abat Oliba CEU University we provide an answer to these new knowledge needs with our proprietary qualification The Bases of Neuroscience Applied to Psychology.

This program is aimed at students taking the Degree in Psychology who wish to study this area in depth in order to enrich their training in health, educational and legal psychology. In short, by taking this course, students will acquire knowledge and skills that are highly valued in today's job market.

3. Method

The teaching model is based on personalized, practical training that links theoretical knowledge to professional practice through real internships in companies, schools, hospitals and day centres, as well as workshops and practical seminars. We have more than 15 years' experience training psychology professionals.

It fosters an active, enterprising attitude in students, such as with the creation of the Psykhé Group. This group organizes the Annual Psychology Students' Conference in which, in different subject areas, students publicly present a project or study they have carried out during their studies. It reinforces early research activity and provides valuable experience in giving public presentations.

4. Psychological Assistance Therapeutic Unit

Third and fourth year Psychology students attend psychopathology sessions of the Master's in General Health Psychology, which are taught at the UAO CEU's Therapeutic Assistance Unit at Grupo Quirónsalud's Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor, where they can attend and observe clinical sessions with real patients.

5. Soft skills

Students develop emotional and social skills so that they learn to cope in their environment, work well with others, perform well and achieve their personal and professionals goals. Interdisciplinary seminars and workshops will be held throughout the four years of the degree.

6. Internal research student

With the creation of this figure, students will be able to carry out research support functions and apply their knowledge, either in university teams or within hospitals, as is already the case with several hospitals in Catalonia.
